Annual Community Action Awards

Stella Ingraham Wins Award

Each year Michigan Community Action recognizes volunteers and regular people who have worked to fight poverty in their own lives and in the lives of others.  Join us each spring as we honor the people who have courageously worked to over come barriers to move beyond their current situations toward economic security and long term self-sufficiency.  Meet and honor some of the volunteers that give their time, talent and treasure to help people in their community on their quest to a better life.

Honorees are presented with an award and a gift certificate in the magnificent rotunda of our state capitol building.  It is a wonderful way to honor, motivate and recognize the success of community action and the opportunities people have to make their lives better.

Details on our 2017 event will be posted soon.

CAAs who may need financial assistance to send an honoree to this event can contact MCA for assistance with travel costs.
